Mexico has been cancelled. The trip (at least for me) called off, and for all of five minutes I was without travel plans.
Fortunately for me, I don't stand for such boredom long, and thus the first alternative to pop into my head has been given a fair share of my attention, which is to say all of my travel-attention.
I have two words for you: Disney World.
Gone are the (stupidly expensive!) days spent at an mandatory all-inclusive resort outside Los Cabos, and in sweeps the Mickey Mouse crew with promises of the Haunted Mansion, silly headgear, and long (but amusing) queues. For less money, too. In little time we had a new trip plotted, and are now trying to add a second element (that is, a second couple) to the mix for additional fun. Failing that, the two of us will embark on our Disney trip late September if we can both get the time off work.
Yes, a slight catch, but so slight as to make the whole trip more tangible.
Sadly, the second couple option is a limited time deal. We need to book the timeshare tomorrow (and thus somehow get the time off as well beforehand!), and the difference in price between the one-bedroom and two-bedroom is too hefty for our wee wallets. :)
We shall have to see how this pans out.
