Reason #56: Ballard Farmer's Market. I will admit to having griped about the price of the local, sustainable produce featured at this market, but given how tasty the food here is, it's worth the investment (potato and leek soup made from ingredients found here has no equal). While the market is available year-round, to me it calls up images of the last few days of summer when short-sleeved shirts and shorts are still perfectly reasonable and gelato is just right. This market has serious bonus points for the hot sauce stand(s). :) Delicious!
