There and Back Again: A Minotaur Tale

I will only cross the border three more times before I live in the States on an ongoing, continuing basis...a full-time basis.

Peace Arch Portal

Today I waited in an hour-long border line as I was bringing back car parts for my dad, which means I'm not able to access the super-speedy-much-loved Nexus lane. Knowing what awaited me, I joined Audible and downloaded my first audiobook from them (membership starts at $7.49/ per month, which includes one download per month). I had never heard of the novel I downloaded before I stumbled across it on Audible; it's titled The Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break by Steven Sherill. Not only is the reading perfect (--that minotaur grunt! --that thick bull tongue tangling English words!), the story itself is both entertaining and painfully human. I'm not finished listening to it yet (the recording is nine hours long), but the story actually has me looking forward to the drive back home. Not that I needed any more encouragement.

It's roll-out week at work. Wish me luck!
