Learning Curve

I've been playing violin for a few months now and have a fairly solid foundation. "Twinkle Twinkle" is under my belt, though it's not the prettiest, and I can go through my scales with increasing conviction.

My new challenge is an Irish song called "The Last Rose of Summer," which is a lovely melody written for a poem by Thomas Moore. I love the huge learning curve (I work best when challenged and pushed) and my fingers itch to play Reepicheep (bonus points if you know where that name is from!) aka Squeakers. How appropriate, too, that summer is bid farewell with such a beautiful song.

Now I just have to work out the squeaks.
